Just a little Hello
Good Morning Friends,
Happy Friday to you all. I have not posted in a few weeks so I thought I would just post a little hello with one of the Pinky Dolls I just colored and edited with the Rhonna Designs App. And The Be Funky editing app. I always have fun changing up the images after I color them. If you don't have any of these Apps yet you should give them a try. I hope everyone has an inspiring weekend planned.

Last Christmas Card and Tag
Hello, how is everyone doing? Are you all done creating for the Holidays? These 2 Cards are the last for me. I am done. Anything else I do will be pure pleasure for myself. So here is my tag using a Saturated Canary Image that I cut and kind of made her peeking out from the tree and the other image I purchased from The East Wind on Etsy and made this card. So thanks for taking a look.
Hugs, Gabbi.

Christmas Cards
Hello,
I am sure Most of you are getting ready for Christmas, as I am. But this year is different for me. I have gone back to work this year, and I don't have the same amount of time I used to have. I find myself less prepared but for some reason I am not stressed about it. I am taking it one day at a time and still enjoying the season. Here are a few cards I made. Three of them are using Saturated Canary images and the fourth one I have used a Ppinky image. These are going to nursing homes and a little girl in the hospital. I hope you are all doing your share in spreading Holiday Cheer!
Have a great day!

Feather Crown by Saturated Canary
So as you can see I am "still" a huge Saturated Canary Fan. I can never get enough of Krista's Images. Here I have one of Krista's newest images for being a follower of hers. She is called "Feather Crown". I colored her using Copics then made a small slit in her headband. I die cut some feathers with pretty paper and tucked them under the band. Glued on the back. That is all. Simple but adorable.
Thanks for checking her out. If you are wanting to purchase her go to saturated-canary.myshopify.com
Have a great weekend!

I'm back!!!
Hello all,
It has been almost 1 year to the day since I have posted on my blog. I took quite a long break, but I think I am back now. My goal is to try and post at least once a week now. With the Holidays approaching, I enjoy making cards and gifts, so maybe I will have something to inspire some of you. So with that, I am going to post an image that I colored from Saturated Canary. Its not a new one but one of my favorites. Well, that's it for now, I will be back with more soon.

Art Dolls
So here is Pray and Trust. My first attempt at making art dolls out of polymer clay. I used to love working with clay about ten years ago, but this is my first attempt at an art doll. it was alot of fun, just very time consuming and then frustrating because i kept breaking things off, like fingers and arms and one leg. so theres alot of glue holding these babies together now. I guess I will have to work on making the pieces thicker or paint them before i bake them. I dont know, but here they are. They are keeping me busy until sunday when my daughter makes it back from nicaragua. Still holding my breath. Ugh!!!!

Trust

Hello, Hoping everyone is doing well this week. It is our Spring Break here in Texas, so the kids are off for a week. I have one home and one in Nicaragua on a medical mission trip. I have been doing nothing but praying that God keeps her safe and sound and returns her to me on Sunday in one piece. It sure is stressful when your children travel without you, but I have been trying to keep busy with my art journaling. Here is another page I did today. Hope you like it.
I am sure I will be back tomorrow with something new. Have a great Monday.

Practice, Practice
Hello, Hoping this finds all of you well. As you know I have been practicing in my art journal. I think I have made over 100 faces so far, lol. I should have joined the 29 faces in february challenge. Next time, I am so getting in on that one. Today I have my Art Journal Cover to show you. Im pretty proud of it. I love how it turned out. I really wasnt expecting to go that dark with it, but I added a few bright colors to it in hopes that would help. In another book I have started, I drew a few faces on the pages and added some beautiful quotes to it. Hope you like them.
Thanks for checking them out. Have a great week.

My Life Lately
Hello friends,
Its been a few weeks since I have blogged, and I am going to tell you why. Do you ever get stumped for something to create? or just want to do something different for a change? That is the path I have been on lately. I have been wanting to do something a little different. Not a crazy, out there different, just test the waters on a different crafting direction.
I also have been job hunting and had several interviews that I thought went really well, however, I never got a call back on any of the job opportunities. I figured someone out there with a degree, or someone younger or just someone better suited for the job got it instead. I have been trying to tell myself that they just werent the right ones for me yet. (so thats what Im believing at the moment).
Anyway, so with that, I have decided to give mixed media a try. I see alot of beautiful painting and drawings out there that I have been admiring for a little while now. I know I cant draw faces, I have tried, but I found some websites that have free workshops and some other workshops that I have been reading about and thinking about doing. There a few artists so far that I have fallen in love with. Of course Krista with Saturated Canary will always be my first love as, but A few of these artists that I love as well are: Adriana Almanza, Jane Davenport, Natasha May, and Suzi Blu and last but not least, my personal favorite artist Tamara Laporte.
I have started an art journal and I have done a few sketches. I am posting them on here for you to see. I told myself, even if the eyes arent symetrical or the features arent perfect, I am going to post them anyway, because thats part of the journey. So here goes, I hope you like them. Any feedback is welcomed. Thanks for stopping by.
