FAITH

Her name was Katie Lynn Thomas,Born: November 23, 1991 Died: March 3, 2013 It took me a few weeks before I could post this tragedy. Katie and her family were close friends of ours. My two children grew up with katie and her little sister Lori. We were neighbors until we moved from that street 7 years ago. The two girls, my Gianna and Katie continued to be good friends and went to school together. On March 3, 2013 she was killed in a car wreck. Our hearts are so broken by this terrible tragedy and she is one little girl that will not be forgotten. She will live in our hearts and souls forever. I learned on the day of Katies memorial service that she had a tattoo on her back with an inscription from the Book of Hebrews 11:1 " Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." My daughter and myself were so moved by Katies death that we are going to get tattoos with the roman numerals 11:1 and the word Faith, In Katies memory. Its a lesson to us, that God can call for us at any time. ANY TIME. even if your only 21. You will be missed Katie and we will always love you and cherish the good memories. Thank you for stopping by today and reading my post. Hugs Gabbi

Art Dolls

So here is Pray and Trust. My first attempt at making art dolls out of polymer clay. I used to love working with clay about ten years ago, but this is my first attempt at an art doll. it was alot of fun, just very time consuming and then frustrating because i kept breaking things off, like fingers and arms and one leg. so theres alot of glue holding these babies together now. I guess I will have to work on making the pieces thicker or paint them before i bake them. I dont know, but here they are. They are keeping me busy until sunday when my daughter makes it back from nicaragua. Still holding my breath. Ugh!!!!

Trust

Hello, Hoping everyone is doing well this week. It is our Spring Break here in Texas, so the kids are off for a week. I have one home and one in Nicaragua on a medical mission trip. I have been doing nothing but praying that God keeps her safe and sound and returns her to me on Sunday in one piece. It sure is stressful when your children travel without you, but I have been trying to keep busy with my art journaling. Here is another page I did today. Hope you like it. I am sure I will be back tomorrow with something new. Have a great Monday. Hugs Gabbi

Practice, Practice

Hello, Hoping this finds all of you well. As you know I have been practicing in my art journal. I think I have made over 100 faces so far, lol. I should have joined the 29 faces in february challenge. Next time, I am so getting in on that one. Today I have my Art Journal Cover to show you. Im pretty proud of it. I love how it turned out. I really wasnt expecting to go that dark with it, but I added a few bright colors to it in hopes that would help. In another book I have started, I drew a few faces on the pages and added some beautiful quotes to it. Hope you like them. Thanks for checking them out. Have a great week. Hugs Gabbi
